Evan Lovett is a professional artist with over fifteen years of experience in design, illustration, tattooing and large scale public art. The concentration of Evan's themes are derived from nature and animals.
Evan started his apprenticeship of tattooing at the young age of 15 and has been professionally tattooing since 2002. He is known for his large scale, fully rendered free hand designs.
Evan studied at the University of The Arts of Philadelphia concentrating in sculpture and illustration. Over the years he combined his love for the two and has built a body of public art in the form of murals that can be seen from coast to coast as well as internationally. What sparked his love for murals and public art was a bit less academic, it came from years of painting graffiti when he was younger. He learned very valuable skills and techniques from graffiti, like how to view a space and quickly develop a dynamic composition while still taking in consideration the environment and surroundings. Now he takes pride using those talents to help enrich communities and their landscapes.
In collaboration with other like-minded artists and community activists, Evan became the Co-Founder and Creative Director of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization V.U.R.T, which stands for Visual Urban Renewal & Transformation.
You can continue to see Evan's work develop and spread as he continues to travel for conventions, speaking engagements, creating large scale murals and gallery exhibitions.
